Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 22, 2026. Roam is a private travel sharing app operated by Luis Andrés Medina Calderón. This page explains what information Roam collects, how it is used, and the choices available to users.

Information We Collect

  • Email address, authentication user ID, display name, username, bio and profile photo if provided.
  • Private trips, memberships, invite codes, photos, videos, audio included in videos, stories, captions, comments and tags.
  • Likes, saved posts, reports, blocks and support requests submitted by users.
  • Basic app and backend logs needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service.

How We Use Information

  • Create and secure accounts.
  • Provide private trip spaces and invite flows.
  • Upload, display and protect trip content.
  • Enable comments, likes, saves, tags, reports, blocks and support.
  • Review safety, abuse, privacy or legal reports.
  • Troubleshoot reliability and comply with legal and App Store requirements.

Sharing

Roam does not sell personal information and does not use advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs or tracking across other companies' apps and websites. Roam shares information only as needed to operate the service, such as with infrastructure providers, authentication, database, storage, Apple TestFlight/App Store processes, legal obligations or user-directed sharing inside trips.

Current infrastructure provider: Supabase for authentication, database and private file storage.

User Content And Private Trips

Trip content is intended for approved members of the same private trip. Invite links or QR codes do not make trip content public by themselves; users must authenticate and join through the app flow.

Users should only upload content they have the right to share and should avoid uploading sensitive content during beta testing.

Moderation, Reports And Blocking

Users can report posts, stories, comments and profiles, and can block other users. Roam reviews reports and may remove content, restrict access, contact users or take other actions needed to protect users and comply with law or the terms.

Account Deletion And Retention

Users can delete their account at any time from inside the app, in Settings. Account deletion removes or disconnects profile data, trip memberships and user-owned content, including media in private storage, according to the current technical design. Some information may be retained where required for legal, security, abuse-prevention or operational reasons.

Account data is kept while the account is active. When an account is deleted, profile data, trip memberships and user-owned content are removed or disconnected, and residual copies in encrypted backups are cycled out within 30 days. Operational and security logs are kept for up to 90 days. Safety records such as reports and blocks may be kept for up to 12 months, or longer where required by law. Support messages may be kept for up to 24 months.

To request deletion help or ask about retained data, contact mel1am@hotmail.com.

Children And Family Content

Roam is not intended for children and is not part of the Kids Category. Users should not create accounts for children unless legally permitted and supervised as required. Photos or videos of minors should only be uploaded by users who have the right and consent to share them.

Your Choices And Rights

Users can edit their profile, manage trip content, control notification preferences, block other users, request support and delete their account from inside the app. To exercise privacy rights or ask a question about this policy, contact the addresses below.
